I Found It In The Archives! Contest
The BENEDICTINE
UNIVERSITY LIBRARY is sponsoring the I
Found It In The Archives essay and video contest to show how the items and
information found in the nation’s archives touch peoples’ lives. We’re seeking entrants who have found
something special in our collections – records, documents, photos, recordings,
a meaningful item or treasure. If it has
meaning to you (be it funny, sad, touching, or just plain interesting), it has meaning to us and is a wonderful basis for your entry.
Between now and
the close of entries at midnight on February 1, 2013, we ask that you submit either:
There will be 10 finalists in this competition, 6 in the student/alumni/public division, 4 in the staff/faculty division, whose essays and videos will be posted online for a public vote. Student/alumni/public winners will also have the opportunity to compete in the Society of American Archivists national competition.
