The Benedictine University Archives collect, preserve, and make accessible those materials that record and exhibit the history and life of Benedictine University and its campuses in Lisle, IL, Springfield, IL, and Mesa, AZ. Also included are the records of the campuses' previous incarnations as Illinois Benedictine College, St. Procopius College, Springfield College in Illinois, and Springfield Junior College.
Collections include documents, photographs, media, and artifacts associated with the school and surrounding area. In addition, the archives contain non-Benedictine materials that support or relate to the school's programs of study. Our rare book collection includes volumes dating to the 1500s, including theological and scientific texts, local history, European history, geography, and Czech language volumes. Our collections are available for research not only to the Benedictine University community, but also the greater community. |
